Notts County's on-loan striker Jonathan Forte has called his debut against Barnet a "dream come true" following his first-half hat-trick.
The 22-year-old Scunthorpe man netted three times after Richard Butcher's opener in the 4-0 away win on Saturday.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I am delighted and it was a dream come true to get a hat-trick on my debut.
"It was a brilliant first-half, but you could tell in the second-half I hadn't been playing as much."
Forte's hat-trick is the first by a Magpies' player on his debut since Brett Angell notched three against Bournemouth in December 1999.
He added: "I am quite proud of that statistic to be fair. I just came here to help the boys and help myself. Hopefully I can carry on doing that."
Forte's triple strike also marked a landmark - it was the 150th hat-trick scored by a Notts County player.
In addition, it was the first time for 10 years that Notts have scored four goals away from home.
