Forte has been capped by Barbados during their World Cup qualifiers

League Two side Notts County have signed Scunthorpe United striker Jonathan Forte on a month's loan.

The 22-year-old Barbados international is expected to make his debut against Barnet on Saturday.

The ex-Sheffield United man told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I think it is a short-term deal at the moment as there aren't many strikers at Scunthorpe.

"I want to get a couple of goals here and try and get Notts County back up where they're supposed to be."

"We are delighted he has agreed to join us. He is young, quick and he has a variety of qualities to bring to our front line."

The former England youth international began his career with the Blades and made 30 appearances for them.
