Nottingham Forest midfielder Chris Cohen will undergo a fitness test on Thursday to see if he can make a return in Saturday's clash with Birmingham.
The 21-year-old had to miss Sunday's eventful 1-1 draw with Derby after picking up an ankle injury against Crystal Palace last week.
Cohen told the club's website: "I've had the ankle scanned and there's no damage to the bone.
"I'll give it a go in training on Thursday and hope for the best."
If ruled fit, Cohen is expected to replace Lewis McGugan, who was suspended for three matches after being sent off against Derby.
