Nottingham Forest are keen on signing Welsh international midfielder David Edwards from cash-strapped Luton Town, BBC Radio Nottingham understands. Edwards, 21, impressed boss Colin Calderwood during both recent games between the two sides and Forest have enquired about his availability.
Luton have just gone into administration meaning Forest are hoping to get their man in January.
Edwards joined the Hatters from Shrewsbury Town in June.
The initial fee was set at �250,000, rising to �400,000.
