Former Norwich captain Iwan Roberts says current skipper Grant Holt's composure is the reason behind his 24 goals so far this season.

Holt has lead the Canaries to a four-point lead at the top of League One.

Roberts told BBC's Late Kick Off East: "He's a real handful, he's had a tremendous season.

"He keeps his cool when he's got time, the amount of times he goes past the keeper makes them look silly, and he scores all types of goals."

Holt joined the Canaries from Shrewsbury Town at the start of the season and was handed the captain's armband by manager Paul Lambert when he took over just three league games into the campaign.

Roberts left Norwich in 2004 as the club's third all-time goal scorer, having just helped achieve promotion to the Premiership.
