Norwich came from behind to take the points at struggling Brighton with two goals in the last 10 minutes.
Former Wolves winger Elliott Bennett gave Brighton the lead with a low free-kick through a crowded area.
Albion striker Glenn Murray was then twice denied by goal-line clearances from Michael Nelson and Simon Lappin.
But Grant Holt levelled with a deflected shot into the roof of the net and the Canaries snatched the victory through Gary Doherty's late header.
Norwich manager Paul Lambert told BBC Radio Norfolk:
"What's said in the dressing room stays there, but the lads came out and responded brilliantly, a big effort and I was delighted with them second half.
"At one stage there we had McNamee up front, we had Holt, Martin, Hoolahan, Johnson, we had to go for it and it paid off again.
"We had to win the game and I'm absolutely delighted, but it's the lads that do it. They're the ones that go and win the game for us."
Brighton boss Gus Poyet told BBC Sussex:
"Same old story. You cannot give the team at the top the chance to equalise and go on and win the game.
"I'm not impressed because I know what I got, I know what we're capable of. "
