McNamee has played twice against Norwich for Swindon this season
Norwich City have signed winger Anthony McNamee on loan from League One rivals Swindon Town until 4 January.
The 26-year-old arrived at the County Ground from Championship side Watford in January 2008 and has made 88 appearances, scoring four goals.
McNamee was part of the Watford squad which won promotion to the Premier League in 2006.
He is not available for Norwich's FA Cup trip to Carlisle, having already played in the competition for Swindon.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert said McNamee and defender Russell Martin, who has joined on loan from Peterborough, will provide the added cover he has been looking for.
Lambert explains new signings
"We needed help in the right-back area and Russell I knew about from Wycombe. He'll do great for us," he told BBC Look East.
"Anthony's case was we needed pace in the team and everyone knows we tried to get him in earlier.
"I saw him play a few years ago, when he was at Watford. Him and Ashley Young were on either side of the wing and they were frightening. I've wanted him since."
