McNamee was loaned to Crewe and Barnet during his time at Watford
Swindon boss Danny Wilson has warned Norwich that Anthony McNamee will not leave the County Ground unless they meet his valuation of the player.
The highly rated winger was linked with a move to their League One rivals before the transfer window closed.
The 26-year-old joined Swindon from Watford in January 2008 and Wilson is keen to keep him.
He told BBC Wiltshire: "He's not going anywhere, unless Norwich come in with a bid we feel is equal to our valuation,"
Meanwhile Wilson has taken 20-year-old striker Charlie Austin on a week's trial after he scored 46 goals in as many games for non-league Poole Town last season.
"We certainly like the look of Charlie. He's got good feet and links the play well and has that knack of scoring goals," said Wilson.
The 20-year-old trained with Bournemouth during pre-season but could not sign any deal because of the club's transfer embargo.
