Norwich City have acquired the services of Peterborough right-sided defender Russell Martin in a loan deal.
The 24-year-old will be at Carrow Road until 4 January 2010 and has been granted permission to play in both the FA Cup and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
"As soon as I knew Norwich were in for me I told Peterborough to discard any interest from other clubs and I came here straight away," the defender said.
Martin will be available for Norwich's FA Cup trip to Carlisle on Saturday.
Canaries manager Paul Lambert has prior knowledge of the young defender as he managed Martin when in charge at Wycombe.
"I know what he's like and hopefully he's going to be great for the football club," Lambert said.
