Pattison's three Norwich goals came in a two-week period in November
Norwich City will allow midfielder Matty Pattison to leave the club on loan, if they receive the right offer.
The 22-year-old South African was signed from Newcastle United by former boss Glenn Roeder Newcastle United.
He has not figured for Norwich since Bryan Gunn's third game in charge as manager at Doncaster.
Gunn told BBC Radio Norfolk: "If a club comes in to enquire about his services, maybe for a month, I'd look at it. I need him to be playing games as well."
He added: "We're trying to keep his fitness levels up as high as possible because we might have an injury problem."
Gunn was clear though that he had no intention of allowing Pattison to join a club that might affect the Canaries' Championship relegation battle.
"There might be clubs out there looking to strengthen their squad, whether it's for a promotion push from League One, or a relegation battle in League One," he continued.
"It'd be certainly silly of me to let loan players out to anyone else in the Championship in and around our area so there'd only be certain clubs we would let our players out to, but as of yet there haven't been any calls."
Pattison has made 51 league appearances for Norwich since Roeder signed him, initially on loan, in November 2007, scoring three goals.
