Lita has made just one Reading appearance this season
Norwich boss Glenn Roeder is keen to extend Reading striker Leroy Lita's loan beyond the current one-month deal.
Lita scored a hat-trick as City hammered Wolves 5-2 at Carrow Road on Tuesday, something Roeder told BBC Radio Norfolk he wants to see more of.
"I need to contact Reading and see if there's the possibility of keeping Leroy for another month," he said.
"I think he'll want to stay, and now he's started scoring I'd like to think he'll carry that on."
Many Norwich fans have been concerned that extending Lita's deal would not be financially viable after it emerged that a local businessman had provided funds to make the deal happen.
But Roeder is confident that finances are not going to be a problem.
"I've got no worries in that direction whatsoever, it's whether or not Reading want to let him come out for another month.
"The advantage I think Reading have now is that they could let us have him for another month but could call him back in a day if they had any problems," he added.
"Secondly we'll keep him in the shop window, it hasn't done Reading any harm with Leroy scoring a hat-trick the other night."
