Cobblers' Craig Hinton aiming for a top-five finish
Hinton has started 38 games for the Cobblers this season
Northampton Town defender Craig Hinton has said his team's good form in 2010 has encouraged them to push for a top-five finish.
The Cobblers were 20th in December but have scored 37 points since the New year to move them up to eighth.
Hinton, 32, told BBC Radio Northampton: "We've fought back as a club and we can take our confidence on.
"Whoever does well over the next six games will be in the play-offs. We've got to show our ability."
Northampton Town's run-in includes matches against four teams currently above them in the division, starting with a tie against title contenders Notts County at Sixfields on Saturday.
However, top-scoring striker Adebayo Akinfenwa is a doubt, having taken a knock to his ankle in last week's 0-0 draw against Torquay.
