Northampton Town striker Billy McKay says the team accept responsibility for Tuesday's 3-1 home defeat by Hereford.
The Cobblers are without a win in six matches, and lie 18th in League Two - six points above the relegation zone.
McKay told BBC Radio Northampton: "We've all got to hold our hands up and say sorry. We didn't play well after [Hereford] equalised.
"We're all still confident. We need to do better in both boxes, and if luck comes our way, we'll climb the table."
The former Leicester City player has scored one goal this season since signing a one-year deal at Sixfields in the summer.
"It's been a bit frustrating, I do really need a goal at the moment. I just need to get my head down and try my best," McKay added.
