Northampton Town chairman David Cardoza says he has been impressed by new boss Ian Sampson's impact on the side.
The Cobblers have picked up three wins and a draw since Sampson was named the full-time manager.
Cardoza told BBC Radio Northampton: "We've got a good set of players but he's brought some belief and confidence back, which we were lacking.
"You hope a new manager will turn things round and he seems to have got hold of that situation."
Cardoza added: "It's early days but I'm very happy with the performances and results."
Northampton Town have also picked up the Johnstone's Paint Trophy team of the round award under Sampson's management.
It is a reward for their 2-1 win over League 2 table toppers AFC Bournemouth in the second round of the competition.
