Akinfenwa was the Cobblers' top goalscorer last season
Northampton striker Adebayo Akinfenwa believes manager Ian Sampson has good attacking options this season.
Goals from the 27-year-old and Courtney Herbert helped the Cobblers to a 2-2 draw with Bury at the weekend.
"Courtney showed pace, power and composure and looks like one for the future," he told BBC Radio Northampton.
"But they're all good centre forwards here, and the manager has got a nice headache. Personally, it's always nice to get on the scoresheet."
Akinfenwa, who is one of five strikers in the Cobblers squad, has suffered injury problems this season that have limited his starts this season to just seven.
"I'm just trying to get minutes under my belt and be injury free, to play with no restrictions," he added.
"I'm working hard with [physio] Stuart Barker and I hope I can get a good run of games."
