Rodgers was sent off in his second Cobblers game, against Colchester

Arsenal defender Paul Rodgers has extended his loan spell at Northampton Town until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old initially joined the League One side on a one-month deal in January, making his debut in the 5-1 win over Crewe.

"Paul has a lot of potential and I'm sure there is a lot more to come from him," said Cobblers boss Stuart Gray.

"He has settled in well here and we are grateful to Arsenal for allowing him to stay until the end of the season."
