Walker made nine appearances for Northampton during his loan spell

Kyle Walker has returned to his parent club Sheffield United after a loan spell with Northampton Town.

The Cobblers extended the deal until the January transfer window but Walker has now been recalled by the Blades.

The 18-year-old defender made nine appearances for the club since joining in mid-November.

Cobblers manager Stuart Gray told the club's website: "I think Kyle did very well with us and he was a credit to himself and his club."
