Administration dismissed by Gray

Stuart Gray
Gray wants Cobblers fans to vent their frustration by getting behind the team

Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray has dismissed the notion that the club could go into administration.

The Cobblers will have to make cutbacks following the borough council's decision not to allow them to develop around Sixfields.

"People talk about administration but there's been no hint of that as such," Gray told BBC Northampton.

"I don't think that will happen. I'm sure the chairman will fight tooth and nail to keep us afloat."

"We need the supporters and we need the team winning but we need help from outside as well," added Gray.

"But you've seen what's gone on at other clubs, you just have to look at what's gone on down the road at Luton."
