Mido's free-kick equaliser was his fifth league goal of the season
Middlesbrough striker Mido has hailed the club's strength in depth after he came on to equalise in Saturday's 1-1 draw with West Ham United.
Manager Gareth Southgate introduced three second-half substitutes after a dismal first-half showing and Mido believes their impact was crucial.
"The three players who came on did well," he told BBC Tees.
"When you come on you need to do your best and give the manager a tough decision to make."
The goal took the Egyptian's tally to five for the season, four of those coming in the Premier League.
But with six goals in 20 Premier League appearances since moving to the club from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2007, the 25-year-old is keen to improve both his strike-rate and number of appearances for the Teessiders.
"I can strike the ball and I think I should do that a bit more," he said.
"This goal will give me confidence to have more shots on goal and hopefully more goals out of it.
"I feel well, I was disappointed to miss the last two games because I thought I had done well.
"I've got to be positive. To come on and do well for the team and to get a goal was a very good feeling."
