Middlesbrough defender Tony McMahon has signed a one-year extension to his current deal with the club.
McMahon, 22, has come through the Boro ranks, captaining the side that won the 2004 FA Youth Cup and has made 25 appearances for the first team.
Meanwhile another academy graduate, Tom Craddock has also agreed a new 12-month contract at the Riverside.
The 21-year-old striker enjoyed a loan spell with League One Hartlepool last season, making four appearances.
Middlesbrough have also confirmed 18-year-old scholar Joe Bennett has signed his first professional contract with the club.
The Rochdale-born wideman, who is comfortable playing anywhere on the left, secured a two-year deal after a number of impressive performances for the reserve team last season.
