Mansfield have released striker Anthony Robinson to give him a chance of playing first-team football elsewhere.

The ex-Tamworth man, 28, started just once and made a further 12 appearances from the bench after joining on non-contract terms this summer.

Manager Billy McEwan told the club's website: "He is finding it difficult here to get a starting position."

Robinson was pushed further down the pecking order after Emile Sinclair joined on loan from Nottingham Forest.
