Mansfield defender Scott McNiven is expecting to return to training on Monday after a three-month battle against testicular cancer. McNiven, who has been out of action since November, had been waiting on the results of his radiotherapy treatment.
"We are very pleased to say that he has telephoned the club sounding well and saying that everything has gone okay," said a statement on the club website.
"He should be returning to Field Mill as soon as next Monday."
