Vieira played 13 League games for Manchester City last season
Manchester City's Patrick Vieira believes the club have a chance of bringing home silverware this season.
Roberto Mancini's side finished fifth in the Premier League last term and qualified for the Europa League.
The 34-year-old midfielder told BBC Radio Manchester: "I think it will be the best moment for the football club to go and win a trophy.
"I believe that if every player gives 100% to the football club it will be a really exciting season for us."
The former Arsenal man joined City in January on a six-month loan deal, becoming Mancini's first signing.
Despite struggling with injuries and making just eight starts last term, the Frenchman signed a one-year contract extension in June.
The club have undergone another summer of spending, recruiting Jerome Boateng, Yaya Toure, David Silva and Aleksandar Kolarov.
Vieira says his team-mates will have to get used to a rotation policy at the club if they are to have a successful season.
"The team that starts may not be the team that finishes the League so everybody has to get focused," he said.
"It will be frustrating of course, quality players don't like to be on the bench. But when you play in a club like City who are really ambitious you have to accept it.
"If we want to do well in the league, Europe and the national cup then it will be the 25 players who make the difference."
