Barnett was a youth trainee at West Brom before dropping into non league
Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson says he is delighted at how striker Tyrone Barnett has adapted to professional league football.
The striker joined the Silkmen in the summer from non-league Hednesford Town and has already scored three goals, including one against Crewe on Tuesday.
Simpson told BBC Radio Manchester: "I think he'll get better and better.
"If we were to change the style a bit and put another striker up there with him I think he'd be even better still."
Barnett initially signed a one-year deal at the club, but Simpson has since taken up the option of extending the deal for another season after the striker's impressive early performances.
