Macclesfield Town have appointed Glyn Chamberlain as assistant to new manager Gary Simpson.
During his playing career he played for Burnley, Chesterfield and Halifax and also had a loan spell at Macclesfield.
The former Newcastle Town and Congleton Town manager had a spell as a scout at Fulham, where he took up a full-time role in 2001.
Chamberlain left Fulham to take up a chief scout role at Crewe in 2005 before joining Burton Albion last year.
