Owusu failed to make an impression at Adelaide United
Luton Town have bolstered their attacking options by signing Lloyd Owusu until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old striker has been on the look out for a club since leaving Australian top flight side Adelaide United by mutual consent in December.
He will be in line to feature against York City on Tuesday night, pending international clearance.
Owusu was released by Cheltenham in July 2009 after returning from a two-month loan spell with Brighton.
He scored seven goals in 14 games for the Seagulls and found the net eight times in 26 appearances for the Robins.
The former Ghana international started his career at Slough before moving on to Brentford in 1998 where he notched 64 goals in 163 league games.
But between 2002 and 2009 he struggled to settle at one club, featuring for Sheffield Wednesday, Reading, Brentford again and Yeovil, before ending up at Cheltenham.
