Midfielder Jake Howells has agreed a new contract with Luton Town until the summer of 2012.
The 19-year-old has been in sparkling form this season, appearing in all but two of the Hatters' league games.
Boss Richard Money told the club website: "It's excellent news that Jake has committed his future to this club.
"He fits perfectly in the young, bright, hungry ethos we're creating here now and sometimes people forget that he is only 19."
Howells made his Luton debut in a 1-0 defeat by Huddersfield in May 2008, when the Hatters were in the third tier of English football.
He has gone on to amass 96 appearances for the Kenilworth Road club, including 58 starts, and has found the net eight times.
Luton's last outing, a 5-1 defeat of Histon, saw Howells grab his second goal of the current Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.
