Two second-half goals from Jordan Rhodes helped Huddersfield beat MK Dons and regain a place in the play-offs.
The Terriers went in front when Anthony Kay pounced in the six-yard box from Anthony Pilkington's cross, before Gary Roberts' header doubled their lead.
Rhodes grabbed his first when he fired home from 20 yards, although Aaron Wilbraham gave the visitors hope with a calm finish after racing through.
But Rhodes settled it, scoring the rebound after Benik Afobe hit the bar.
Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes told BBC Radio Leeds: "Everybody's obviously delighted, we were very low after the weekend but then it's one extreme to another.
"We couldn't find a goal against Exeter, get beaten 1-0 and then we go and hit four today.
"It just goes to show what difference a couple of breaks and couple of days can make, it lifts the mood and we go into Saturday's game on a positive now."
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio: "It's not good enough is it? But let's reflect, two games ago we were joint third.
"We had a chat and we said: "Let's see how far we have come." Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Southampton, in my view, are three of the best teams equipped to get out of this league.
"So I'm not happy, I'm far from happy, I won't accept it and it won't happen again in relation to conceding so many goals in two games."
