Richard Money is set to offer a deal to young winger Dan Walker to conclude Luton's summer transfer activity.
Walker has been on trial with the Hatters after impressing for Bedford in a friendly against Money's men.
The Luton manager told BBC Three Counties he would be looking to take the player on, but it is unlikely there will be more additions.
He said: "I don't think you're ever finished, but if anything happens it will be because somebody leaves."
He added: "I'm not saying we're trying to move anybody out but things are always being thrown at us.
"If we started the season with that group of players, if they're all fit, then I don't think we can be too uncomfortable with that."
Money watched his side overcome a Liverpool XI team 3-0 at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.
Matthew Barnes-Homer, Danny Crow and Dan Gleeson all got on the scoresheet in a performance that pleased their manager.
"That same Liverpool team went to Oldham Saturday and beat them 3-0," he said.
"I thought we showed that we've got some quality ourselves and we got everything out of the game we wanted."
Luton are expected to put out another strong side on Friday when they host Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock.
