McNamara has been capped 33 times for Scotland |
Former Celtic captain Jackie McNamara is the latest name to be linked with the manager's job at Livingston. The Scotland defender, 33, will soon be out of contract at Wolves and BBC Sport understands Livi owner Pearse Flynn is keen to sound him out.
Terry Butcher, Craig Brewster and Joe Miller have all been linked with the vacancy at Almondvale, following John Robertson's sacking.
Former Hearts boss Graham Rix is also thought to be in the running.
Flynn took a chance on Paul Lambert, who like McNamara was a former Celtic skipper with no coaching experience, for season 2005-06.
However, Lambert found positive results hard to come by and resigned seven months into the job, with Livi going on to lose their SPL status.
