Clyde have offered Joe Miller a new contract |
Clyde player-manager Joe Miller has vowed to stay with the Cumbernauld club despite interest from managerless First Division rivals Livingston. Miller is highly regarded by Livi chairman Pearse Flynn and would up his earnings should he move to Almondvale.
But Miller told BBC Sport: "I should be here next season.
"I don't want to let the boys down. I've encouraged them to stay and see where we can take Clyde. Why would I say something and do something else?"
Livingston sacked manager John Robertson at the weekend and Miller is among those believed to be high among the possible candidates for the job.
But he has been offered a new contract by Clyde, although he has yet to sign on.
"That's on the table for me," he said the Cumbernauld outfit suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to title hopefuls St Johnstone.

"But I'm still discussing things with the board.
"I've had a few problems with family matters in the last couple of days and haven't got round to speaking to the directors."
Former assistant Miller took control at the start of the season following the controversial departure of Graeme Roberts after an internal row over a club tour.
But the former Aberdeen and Celtic forward has led Clyde to a safe, mid-table position despite a lack of finance.
And he praised his players despite their latest defeat.
"I thought they were excellent, but I thought it was a great advert for the First Division," said Miller
"Not many people come along to watch, but those who do see a great spectacle.
"The players don't get much money, but they see boys who give their all and play decent football.
"They have been playing like that all season and we can build on that.
"They are full of heart, full of effort and it's a joy to work with these guys.
"If we get a stronger squad then we could be challenging for the SPL next season.
"The difficulty is trying to keep Premier League teams away from trying to sign them."
