Cisse is recovering from a second broken leg in two years |
Injured Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse says he is being forced out of the club by manager Rafael Benitez. The 24-year-old broke his right leg playing for France against China on the eve of the World Cup but will join Marseille on loan when he recovers.
"It was a big surprise when I got a phone call from him saying I should leave," he told the News of the World.
"He told me bluntly: 'There's no room for you here.' I was so upset because I don't want to leave Anfield."

Cisse has three years left on his contract and insists he does not want to leave Anfield permanently.
"It's true Marseille has always been close to my heart but that is being used against me," he said.
"Marseille wanted to sign me in December, they've been after me for five years. But I said no because I love it at Liverpool.
"My house, my family, my friends are all in Liverpool. I got married to a local girl last year and I'm very happy here.
"There's absolutely no reason for me to leave and I'm not happy at all."
