Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton says he has begun talks with club captain Scott Kerr about a new deal.

The 28-year-old, who has played more than 200 matches for the Imps, is out of contract in the summer.

Sutton told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "The one thing about Scott is he is a fighter and the sort we need here.

"He has been very helpful to me as a leader. We do have a young squad and I can trust him as a captain to get the players going on a Saturday."
