Lincoln City's Paul Green set on keeping place

Green's goal against Crewe was his first of the season

Lincoln City defender Paul Green says he is determined to stay in the Imps side after scoring on his return in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Crewe.

Green, 24, whose last start was against Aldershot in February, played after Adam Watts was ruled out by illness.

He told BBC Lincolnshire: "I've been itching to play for weeks now. I got my chance and hopefully can keep my place.

"I picked up an injury early in the season but I've been fit for a while and not playing has been hard."

Green's 47th-minute goal at the Alexandra Stadium was his first of the season, and helped the Imps end a run of five successive defeats in League Two.
