Lincoln City boss Steve Tilson praises Facey captaincy
Facey has scored two goals in his last two games
Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson says appointing Delroy Facey as captain has inspired the striker and his team-mates in their five-match winning run.
Facey scored his second goal in as many games in Saturday's 1-0 win at Hereford which took City to 15th in League Two.
Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "Del's given the lads a lot of confidence and they listen to him.
"He also looks like he believes he's going to score more than he did five or six weeks ago, so fair play to him."
Grenada international Facey, 30, was first handed the captain's armband in Lincoln's 2-1 defeat by Wycombe, which left the Imps bottom of League Two.
But since then he has led them to their best run of victories in three years and a sixth in a row, at home to Shrewsbury on Tuesday, would make it Lincoln's longest winning streak since they won the final seven matches of the 1991/92 season.
