Delroy Facey has agreed a one-year deal to rejoin Lincoln City after his release by Notts County this summer.
The 30-year-old striker had a spell on-loan with the Imps last season, scoring one goal in ten appearances.
Manager Chris Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire: "If we had an injury to Drewe Broughton then we wouldn't be left with a back-up option.
"We are still in a position now where we can use the loan market for another striker, which we will do."
Facey began his career at Huddersfield and has also had spells at Bolton, West Brom, Hull City, Oldham, Tranmere, Rotherham and Gillingham.
The Grenada international signed for Notts County in 2008 and scored 11 goals in two years at Meadow Lane.
