Bernice Wilson set her personal best in Glasgow at the start of July |
Wyberton sprinter Bernice Wilson says qualification for the 100m at the Commonwealth Games is within her reach. Wilson makes her latest bid to qualify at this weekend's English Championships and Commonwealth trials in Gateshead. She told BBC Lincolnshire: "I need to run 11.4 seconds and at the moment my personal best is 11.77 seconds. "I think it can be done. I need to work on aspects of my running and hopefully my times will come down, but it's not very far off at all really." Wilson, who set her personal best time at a meeting in Glasgow earlier in July, added: "I feel it is achievable and there are still at least two or three weeks of competition left. "The more competitions I'm in, the more my times come down so hopefully I'll be able to reach the qualifying time."
