Notts County have released eight out-of-contract players, but Mike Edwards, Stephen Hunt and Craig Westcarr have been offered new deals.

The released list consists of: Russell Hoult, Kevin Pilkington, Jamie Clapham, Matt Hamshaw, Ben Fairclough, Ade Akinbiyi, Sean Canham and Delroy Facey.

Manager Steve Cotterill said: "I would like to go on record and say a big thank you to all of the players.

"I'm sure that every player will get fixed up with a new club."

Cotterill, whose own future at the club is still to be decided, added: "I would like to send them my personal best wishes.

"Every single one of the players not offered new terms has been an integral part of Notts County's successful season.

"Unfortunately, on the back of contracts ending and promotion gained, there are obviously going to be changes to the squad."
