Lincoln City's Paul Musselwhite hails Joe Anyon signing

Lincoln City goalkeeping coach Paul Musselwhite says new signing Joe Anyon will be a great success at Sincil Bank.

Anyon, 23, signed a two-year deal with the Imps after being released by Port Vale at the end of last season.

Musselwhite told BBC Lincolnshire: "He's a very good keeper, he's still very young but with a lot of talent, a lot of potential and experience.

"He broke his leg at Vale but he's fully recovered and wants to do well," he added.

"I know he likes to work hard, but Vale had another young keeper who was doing well and he couldn't get his place back after six months out with injury," Musselwhite said.

"So he was released by them, which was good news for us."

Anyon is a former England youth international, and had made more than 100 appearances for the Valiants during his time at the club.
