Lincoln City keen to extend loans of Aston Villa trio
Herd scored his first goal for Lincoln in their 3-1 defeat by Rochdale
Lincoln City manager Chris Sutton hopes to extend the loans of Aston Villa trio Eric Lichaj, Nathan Baker and Chris Herd which expire in early January.
Defenders Lichaj and Baker joined the Imps in October with midfielder Herd coming to Sincil Bank in November.
Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire: "I spoke to Villa about them on Wednesday.
"They've shown a good attitude here. I said I wanted to bring in players who would improve the team and I think they certainly have done that."
Sutton added that if a deal were reached, American full-back Lichaj and England under-19 centre-half Baker would remain unavailable for the FA Cup third round tie at Bolton because of an agreement with Aston Villa.
Australian Herd played in the Imps' second round victory at Northwich Victoria.
