Lincoln City have signed Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd, 20, on a one-month loan deal.
The Perth-born Australia Under-20 international has yet to make a first team appearance for Villa but has been a regular for their reserves.
Herd joined the Premier League side in 2005 and had loan spells with Port Vale and Wycombe Wanderers last season.
He will play for the Imps in the FA Cup and goes into the squad for Saturday's second-round tie at Northwich.
Whilst out on loan last season Herd scored twice for Vale in 11 matches and had four outings for Wycombe.
He will join fellow Villa loanees Nathan Baker and Eric Lichaj, who extended their deals at Sincil Bank until January on Monday.
