Mullarkey scored only one league goal during his time at Sincil Bank
Striker Sam Mullarkey has left Lincoln City after the deadline on his contract offer from the club expired.
The 21-year-old Lincoln-born player declined an offer by boss Peter Jackson to go to Germany with the first-team squad for pre-season training.
And the Imps boss told the club's website: "His new contract offer had run out and I'm disappointed he hadn't signed it.
"We offered him the chance to do pre-season with us and he declined that."
Jackson added: "That's Sam's right and hopefully he will get fixed up and move on."
Mullarkey was released by Nottingham Forest as a youngster and had a spell with Lincoln United and Grantham before joining Jackson's side last summer.
Lincoln's players are currently at an army camp in Germany and were due to play an army side on Tuesday night, but the Imps called it off over concerns about the state of the pitch.
