Lincoln City chief executive Dave Roberts has confirmed winger Dany N'Guessan is in talks with Leicester.

The 21-year-old Frenchman is out of contract at the end of June and has rejected a new deal.

Roberts told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Leicester are confident they can sign Dany and in due course will probably make us an offer.

"Leicester have said they haven't done a deal with the player yet but are close to doing one."

N'Guessan, who has turned down three offers of fresh terms at Sincil Bank, has stated he wants to play for a bigger club.

As N'Guessan is under 24 the Imps could land a six-figure fee in compensation.

The former Rangers player who was named in the PFA's League Two team of the season was the Imps' second top scorer this season with nine.

Since joining from the Scottish giants in January 2007, the Auxerre academy graduate has made 91 league appearances, scoring 16 goals

N'Guessan's contract at Sincil Bank expires on 30 June.
