Brett Houston was Lincolnshire's best bowler at Ascott Park, taking 4-31 |
Lincolnshire claimed their second MCCA Knock-out Trophy win with a narrow five-run Group Four victory over Buckinghamshire at Ascott Park, Wing. Batting first, Lincolnshire were all out for 213 in their 50 overs, Paul Cook top scoring on 49. Despite Jason Harrison's 85, Bucks were out for 208 in the final over. Director of Cricket Mark Fell told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It was tight, but games like this where the pressure's on are what makes great teams." Brett Houston took four wickets, three of them coming in a spell which saw Bucks go from 94-2 to 99-6 midway through their innings. Lincolnshire captain Rob Cook said: "I'm pleased for Brett as he's had a tough time recently. "I always thought we would win but it was a bit too close for comfort for my liking."
