Patulea joined Lincoln following a successful trial spell
Lincoln City striker Adrian Patulea says he is a little uneasy at being hailed a hero by Imps supporters.
The Romanian, 24, made his debut as a substitute against Barnet on Saturday, helping set up Dany N'Guessan's opener and scoring the second in a 2-0 win.
He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Heroes are people who treat cancer and aids.
"I'm not a hero, I'm just a striker. I play a game and make people happy, but I'm happy for the fans and I'm glad to help the team to win."
Patulea joined Lincoln after earning a pre-season trial by running around Lincoln's training ground carrying his wife on his back to impress manager Peter Jackson.
He added: "After the saga happening around me I'm happy to be here.
"I'm a striker, I did my job and scored. I'm happy for the fans, the gaffer and all the lads, I'm a happy guy right now."
