Lincoln boss Peter Jackson praised the impact of substitute Adrian Patulea after the Romanian striker sealed the Imps' first league win of the season.
Patulea netted three minutes from time on his debut as Lincoln ran out 2-0 winners over Barnet at Sincil Bank.
"I'm delighted for Adrian, nobody could have written the story better," Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"He's a wonderful kid and it's a day he'll never forget for the rest of his life, it was fantastic."

It took Lincoln until the 74th minute to break the deadlock, but Jackson was never in doubt that a goal would come.
"I told players they had to be patient and the goal would come and it did," he added.
