Lincoln earned a first league win of the season thanks to an inspirational display from substitute Adrian Patulea.
The Imps went close in the first half when a long-range shot from Paul Green was saved by Barnet keeper Ran Kadoch.
But the breakthrough came with the introduction of Patulea who combined to set up a tap-in for Dany N'Guessan.
Lee Frecklington was denied a second for Lincoln but Patulea completed his fairytale debut when he fired in after N'Guessan's shot was blocked.
