Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has said he is still interested in signing Romanian striker Adrian Patulea.
The forward first caught the eye of the Imps manager by asking for a trial and then carrying his wife around the club's training ground on his back.
Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We will have to wait and see, we won't know till next week if we are moving forward on it.
"The paperwork is the big issue we are dealing with."
The Imps are in talks with Patulea's club, Romanian side Petrolul Ploiesti, about a agreeing a deal.
The 24-year-old has scored four times in friendlies, including a hat-trick against Lincoln United.
