Lincolnshire win Eastern title

Rob Cook has won the title in only his first year in charge

Lincolnshire will face Berkshire for the Minor Counties Championship title after clinching their third Eastern Division title in seven years.

A draw against Bedfordshire at Luton guaranteed Lincolnshire the title.

Resuming on day three on 32-2 in their first innings Beds were bowled out for 101 and following on ended on 25-1.

Captain Rob Cook told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "It's a load off our minds, we are a great team who deserve this. We do the basics well."

The county's last two title triumphs were in 2001 and 2003.

The final will be played on Sunday, 6 September at Falkland Cricket Club in Newbury.
