Rob Cook has led Lincolnshire to the top of the division |
Lincolnshire director of cricket Mark Fell says the destiny of the Minor Counties Championship Eastern Division title is in his side's hands. The county go into Sunday's match against Buckinghamshire at Grantham top of the table after their 10-wicket win over Hertfordshire in their last game. Fell told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "If we win our remaining games and get the points we'll finish top of the league. "It's as simple as that - It's in our hands and that's the way I like it." After two victories and two draws in the Championship under the captaincy of Rob Cook, Fell admits that the county side are at last beginning to show their true capabilities. He said: "I challenged them at the start of the season. "I said it's about time they started showing how good they are, and to be fair they're putting two fingers up at me and they're doing it." Play at Gorse Lane in Grantham is scheduled to begin at 1100 BST on Sunday, 3 August.
